Dinner with the Flippos

We had our first dinner back, we missed our kids. We had baked potato bar with salad and some sort of dessert that I didn't get enough of. I am course am just a dishwasher so.....

So one of my more important roles at KSU is being the chair for the social (FUN) committee. We host the BAE department Christmas dinner at our house, always so fun. This last year we had my friend Claude (AI) write us up a murder mystery to do during dinner. It was about who stole the vehicle log book.

Spring of 2024 we hosted a "purpose on the prarie" event to raise money for Honuras Orphans, we raised $6,000. We had 3 bands and a comboy poet perfom for us way out in the middle of the prarie. Yes those are hale bale couches.

attendance has been all over the place but lately it averages about 40 students. in the past we have had several families help and bring plates.

Among many other things Angie is the chef for the Helwig Farms tractor team (a KSU design team). every year we go to Peoria IL to compete and Angie cooks and makes all the other teams take a big ol plate of jelousy with a dessert of "wish I was a wildcat".

We have had several (2) wedding's at our place, this is the first one. It was 2020 (remember the Covid?) so we all kept away from each other.
